Dentist North Bethesda

Dr. Martin Kim is a skilled and compassionate general dentist who believes in providing complete, patient-centered care — all under one roof. With advanced training in a wide range of services including Invisalign®, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and full-mouth rehabilitation, Dr. Kim takes pride in offering comprehensive solutions that avoid the need for outside referrals. Whether restoring function or enhancing aesthetics, he’s known for delivering smooth, efficient care tailored to each patient’s unique goals.

Dr. Kim earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Virginia and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland. Recognized for his clinical ability early on, he was one of a select few students chosen to complete an AEGD residency program during his final year — an honor awarded to top-performing students who demonstrate skill across a wide spectrum of dentistry.

At SmileWell Dentistry, Dr. Kim combines clinical excellence with advanced technology. He routinely uses iTero® intraoral scanning to deliver highly precise crowns, veneers, night guards, and Invisalign treatment, while CBCT 3D imaging allows for detailed diagnostic and implant planning. With a strong emphasis on prevention and early intervention, Dr. Kim takes a whole-mouth approach, aiming to protect not just individual teeth, but a patient’s full oral and systemic health.

Born in South Korea, Dr. Kim moved to the United States at age 10 and was raised with a deep respect for hard work, perseverance, and community. Patients often describe him as soft-spoken, kind, and a great listener — someone who takes the time to ask meaningful questions and truly understand their needs.

Dr. Kim’s vision for SmileWell Dentistry is to create a welcoming space where patients feel cared for and understood. He hopes to establish deep roots in the North Bethesda area and become a long-term provider and community partner — where patients not only maintain their health but actually enjoy coming in for care.
